Are You Expecting?

When your baby is born at an affiliated hospital, simply tell your obstetrician and the hospital staff that you have chosen Children’s Medical Center as your child’s pediatrician.

Our office will be notified of your baby’s birth by the hospital staff. Upon discharge, please contact our office about scheduling your baby’s first visit to our office.

• Any paperwork from the hospital, including hearing screen results and immunization records.
  

• Any available insurance information (often only the parent’s insurance is available at the first visit).
• Plenty of diapers and an extra set of clothes.
• Completed new patient forms prior to the visit to help make the appointment as smooth as possible.
  

A pleasant, comfortable first visit builds trust and helps put your child at ease during future visits. We want your child to enjoy getting to know our doctors and staff, so we work hard to establish this bond during every appointment to our office. During your first appointment – whether in our office or by telemedicine - we will explain everything in detail and answer any questions you may have.
